In 1997, a restaurant owner was having a problem with slippery floors. That restaurant owner was a friend of our Founder and CEO, John Tote who went to work to solve his friends problem and the result was the unique anti-slip floor treatment the world now knows as Johnny Grip.
For our first two years in business, we sold Johnny Grip to nearby businesses and individuals. The results were so overwhelming that in 1999 we started selling Johnny Grip on the internet and on television.
Johnny Grip is a hit with success stories pouring in from clients such as McDonalds, AOL, and U.S. Government facilities. The press took notice, too, with coverage in Handyman Magazine among others.
We have worked tirelessly to stay ahead of the competition in terms of quality and customer service and as a result, today we are the online leader in non-slip floor treatment. Quite simply, Johnny Grip sets the industry standard.
John Tote: Founder / CEO
John is the Founder of Johnny Grip. John has a background in chemistry as well as more than 25 years experience working with floor products and in the flooring industry. In addition to Johnny Grip, John has run 2 very successful businesses in the Decorative Concrete Industry.
Michael Murphy: Sales / Tech support
Michael is our resident tech expert and like John, he has years of experience working in the Decorative Concrete and flooring industries. A successful business owner in his own right, Michael wears several hats at Johnny Grip.
Patricia Ward: Order Placement
